Brief Description

This project was an advisory TA to support the process of decentralization.  The overall objective of the project was to assist the Government of Indonesia in improving the quality and sustainability of urban services through a nationally mandated effort to decentralize those services to local control. The project supported the development of urban policy agendas in national, provincial and local governments with supporting institutional structure to ensure that decentralization works as anticipated. Non-government stakeholder participation in the formulation of the urban policy agendas was encouraged and the work involved detailed support to 4 municipalities.
